Ryan brings 25+ years of hands-on technology experience with extensive channel experience supporting Trusted Advisors since 2018 across cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure solutions.

Here’s a bit more about Ryan, in his own words!

Tell us about something you do for AVANT that Trusted Advisors may not know.  

Trusted Advisors may not always see the care and due diligence that goes into evaluating new providers for the AVANT portfolio. I really try to think from their seat: Is this relevant, useful, sellable, and low-friction? If it cannot help a TA create a better outcome, it probably is not worth the effort.

Where are you located?

Grand Rapids, MI

What do you think your younger self would be most proud of today?

Probably that I’ve kept my curiosity and imagination intact while learning to respect the fundamentals. I still love exploring new technologies and ideas, but I’ve also learned the value of structure, proven processes, and strong foundations. That balance – curiosity plus discipline – is something my younger self would be proud to see.

What invention do you wish existed to make your life easier?

As a lifelong Star Trek fan (and I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every episode of every series), I have to say a transporter. Is dematerializing and rematerializing at the atomic level completely ridiculous? Absolutely. But being able to instantly show up somewhere, see something, or avoid travel delays? I’d sign up immediately.
