We found just such a person in Luke O’Shaughnessy. Two decades ago, Luke started his tech career as a network engineer for the US Air Force. In the intervening years, Luke developed his skills designing and selling in many of our key areas of expertise, including SD-WAN, UCaaS, public and private cloud, colo, and security. Today, we are fortunate to be bringing him on as Director of Cloud Engineering for our South-Central region.
As a member of AVANT’s Cloud Sales Engineering team, and an important part of our Channel Sales Enablement program, Luke will provide both pre-sales and client technical support. He will demonstrate how we fast-forward the sales process with AVANT’s intelligent resources and unique capabilities. He will meet the increasing demand in the region as he enables new and existing channel partners in assessing customer issues, identifying possible solutions, and implementing long-term strategy solutions. And he will serve as an internal resource to develop educational curricula, craft sales tools, and share his expertise across his team and beyond.
With his years of leadership roles in the sales engineering community; his in-depth knowledge of service providers in the cloud, colocation, and connectivity spaces; and his strong mentoring and process capabilities, Luke will be a force multiplier who will drive innovation and accelerate business both in-house and across the AVANT trusted partner field.
Luke joins the growing ranks of veterans who work for AVANT. Beyond his time in the Air Force, he developed his skill set at companies including Zayo, CenturyLink, Equinix, AboveNet, and Quest Communications. Based in Dallas, TX, Luke is married with two kids. In his spare time, he coaches his son’s sports teams, and you might catch him skydiving. Interesting fact? He spent time living in Europe, and his wife and children were all born in different countries (Ukraine, Germany, and the US).
