Sept 8, 2020 — Chicago — AVANT Communications (“AVANT”), a platform for technology decision-making and enabler of Trusted Advisors, today announces Marcus Luttrell as the first of several major keynote speakers for the upcoming AVANT Virtual Special Forces Summit, taking place online Oct 7 and 8. Additional major keynote speakers will be announced over the next several days. Trusted Advisors can register for the event at https://goAVANT.net/Virtual.
Marcus Luttrell is a former Navy Seal and author of New York Times best seller, “The Lone Survivor”, which was made into a major motion picture. The book and movie tell the harrowing story of four Navy SEALs who journeyed into the mountainous border of Afghanistan and Pakistan in Operation Red Wings. An unparalleled motivational story of survival, the book is also a moving tribute to the friends and teammates who did not make it off the mountain. Last year’s AVANT Summit 2019 keynote speaker, Robert O’Neill was among the team members who came to rescue Marcus.
In January 2014, Luttrell’s amazing story made the leap to the big screen with the blockbuster film, “Lone Survivor”, directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg as Luttrell. The film, like the book, is an incredible account of teamwork, fortitude and modern warfare. Leading Petty Officer Marcus Luttrell joined the U.S. Navy in 1999 and became a combat-trained SEAL in 2002. After serving in Iraq for two years, he was deployed to Afghanistan in the spring of 2005. As a SEAL, Luttrell was trained in weapons, demolition, and unarmed combat. He also served as platoon medic. After recuperating from the near-fatal injuries of Operation Red Wings, he redeployed to Iraq for a second tour and retired in 2007, earning the Navy Cross for combat heroism by President George W. Bush.
“AVANT’s entire partner and vendor community looks forward to Special Forces Summit every year. This year, the stakes and opportunity have never been higher. Our team took on the challenges of today’s realities and raised the bar yet again to deliver a whole virtual online world, with a program the likes of which has never been seen in the channel community before,” said AVANT CEO and co-founder Ian Kieninger. “We are excited to bring multiple world class speakers and we are truly honored to have former NAVY Seal and American hero, Marcus Lutrell, share his experience of never giving up, depending on those around you when you need them most, always moving forward and never standing still.” AVANT’s Special Forces Summit is a two-day Trusted Advisor enablement event, bringing the channel partner community together with thought leaders and key vendors of today’s leading technology solutions. It is the industry’s premier conference dedicated to technology decision strategies, tactics, and tools that enable partners to transform their business to that of a true Trusted Advisor.
“Every one of our Summit keynote speakers could have headlined an AVANT event by themselves. But we have a 10x attitude in everything we do. It’s hard to imagine how our incredible people can outdo themselves, but they have again and have built an event that will be the most business impactful virtual event of the year for Trusted Advisors!” Said AVANT President and co-founder Drew Lydecker. “Even if you
are not an AVANT partner today, block your calendars and hang on tight for 2 days of non-stop market insights and virtual fun and engagement that AVANT has become known for.”
